Edith M. (DiGuiseppi) Immediato
July 28, 1921 ~ December 25, 2017 (age 96) 96 Years Old
Edith M. Immediato, 96, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017.
She was born in West Chester, eldest child of the late James and Lena (DiFrancisco) DiGuiseppi.
Edith dedicated her life to raising her family. As the wife of the late Italo, Sr. aka “Al” she was the matriarch of the Three Little Bakers’ Immediato Family; and worked as a hostess at the dinner theater. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her garden and maintaining plants and flowers throughout her home.
Edith is survived by her children, Italo Immediato, Jr. (Hazel), Ronald Immediato (Debra), and Linda Proffitt (Ronald); 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Lena Dyre; and 3 step-granddaughters.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Edith was preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Edith’s family would like to thank the staff at Somerford House and the staff of Seasons Hospice for their care and compassion.
Services for Edith were held privately with her family.
